The voice of the body

For their first collaboration, the Palestinian choreographers Marah Haj Hussein and Nur Garabli blend their respective universes. By confronting the internalized violence imprinted in dance trainings, they raise questions on training techniques infiltrated by militarization and other so called “universal” techniques and its influence on the body. They rewrite their own movement language, intimate, and rooted in personal and ancestral memory. Through this process, the piece becomes a space to question, resist, and transform.
