4th edition of the Arts & Humanities Festival at Points communs from March 17 to 27!
The Arts & Humanités Festival, one of the highlights of the Points communs season, brings together artists from all over the world and is an invitation to audiences and local inhabitants alike to exchange viewpoints on the major topics at stake in the world. On the line-up for this fourth edition of the festival will be 7 shows, 2 concerts and 1 documentary.
Eight women, eight internationally renowned artists will be presenting work of a deeply committed nature, both on an emotional level and in terms of resonances with their geopolitical reality. Originating from Iran, Sri Lanka, Syria, Cameroon and all over Europe, their various works shift the lines of our perceptions and bring to the forefront issues that are ever-present in today’s world, ranging from questions of identity and otherness to the fight against stereotypical representations, and the forms of resistance that emerge from our fractured society. This year sees Points communs hosting 5 new works, 3 of which will be performed for the first time in France, in Cergy-Pontoise.
Arts & Humanités also provides the occasion for two unmissable events,
co-created in partnership with major institutions: a series of artistic encounters-debates with CY Cergy Paris Université and an exhibition of works by students at the École nationale supérieure d’arts Paris-Cergy.
I look forward to sharing this festival with you,
avec Renzo Martens, réalisateur de White Cube et Maia Ghattas, chercheuse en géographie, Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne
